Did you check with your dealer in Florida and ask if he will accept shipment from a private individual? Some do with a copy of their drivers license sent with the firearm.

Edit: I just read your other thread. Call BrightSpot Pawn in Riverside (951-360-1796) and talk to Chris, Mark, or Bob. They'll take care of you.

      from the other thread.

I'm trying to understand this, you are a FL resident in FL? And are trying to get a firearm from a CA resident transfered to you. YOur FL FFFL will only accept from an FFL, so , you are trying to find a CA FFL to do the shipment out to your FL FFL. Can't the CA resident find a local FFL willing to ship out? Can't you find a FL FFL that will accept from a private party?

If the CA resident is in OC, I'd say try Ade's or OCarmory. Those are the only guys I know off-hand out that way. There's gonna be more. Maybe if the CA resident logs in and asks for help finding a local dealer to him, we may be able to help.

OK, one other question. You mentioned an AR15, are we talking a Registered Assault Weapon, or an Off-List Lower firearm?

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

If it is a reg'd AW then don't call BrightSpot. You'll need someone else for that.

You could always call DOJ and ask them which FFL local to your buyer can handle this.

OK, why is it a registered AW, because it is a listed lower, or because it has the evil features? If listed, then it either has to be shipped from an AW dealer, or physically taken out of state and then shipped.

If not listed, it could be disassembled and reconfigured into an non-AW, re-registered through CADOJ, and then either shipped private party, or via any FFL.

A couple things to think about, there is a small number of AW dealers in CA, so they can charge whatthey want to. And, IIRC, the AW dealer is charged for each AW that they transfer. For each transfer, it was like $50-75 to CADOJ as part of the renewal fee. So, that gets factored in to the cost as well.
