how recent or has anyone be their lately, is the gate closed or open. in about a week from now i'm hitting to there to do some long range shooting. any infor will help out.

The gates should be locked until Mid-October.
They close the area to cars from April to October but you can still walk in from the gate and set up if you are so inclined.
