Blue if you want to be able to get it off again without the assistance of a torch.

i'd go for the blue, although i have used the red loctite alot in the past with no problems of takedown.

Go with blue, I used too much red once puting together some supension on a car, when I needed to take it off It was almost too strong and an impact wrench even had trouble with it. Ace hardware has it.

I guess I'm the only one that doesn't use anything...I just make sure my ring screws are free of grease and oil. My Leupold rings on my Rem700VS are still tight as the day I installed them 15yrs ago.....

I don't use Locktite on scope rings. You don't need it for the rings. I use blue one for the base though.

                    Neither.

Torque the rings to 20 in/lbs and you are good to go.

Locktite is probably the most over used item in the gun industry.

Definitely blue and wally-world has it. Note you have to 'hunt' for it as wally-world has several locations for the different 'versions' of loctite.

I think I've seen it at Orchard's and Home Depot - but I would try wally-world first. Check automotive and the paint supply. Note I saw it in two different places in automotive...

I have had a rail loosen on me after a hassle of zeroing in a scope. That's why I now use blue loctite. If I need it then its there, if I don't then no harm no foul.
