Quick Question to SoCal members-is GLendale show worth goin to??

Hi guys, my friend wants to hit the Glendale show next Sat but I have nO clue if it worth driving up there for it...how big is it? Do they hassle you for bringing a firearm to test add ons ..on(I learned long time ago to NOT pay $$ for shiite unless I trial fit it 1st).

I live in irvine area so not exactly a 5 minute drive...besides I know Costa Mesa is end of month..

Thanks and LMK if you are goin, maybe meetup and introduce ourselves ,get a $10 beer.....gouging bastards!

Save your money for the Costa Mesa show. The Glendale show is notoriously small.

I'll probably be there, just because it is something gun-related to do on the weekend. But is it worth it? No. You'll be underwhelmed, as I have been the past three times I have gone.

I've found some goodies there over the years. If you don't mind the drive, go check it out, but it definetly is a smaller show. I'd probobly wait for Costa Mesa - WAY, WAY more stuff.

I know that 7x57 will be there with NRA... may want to ask him about the show.

I'll be there in the recruiting booth. I go every year, small show but lots of stuff. Stop by and talk to the guys in ACU's if you go.

I'm about 15 min away and that's almost too far. Wait til Costa Mesa.

DOH!- I guess these opinions pretty much sum it up....well I guess I will tell my friend that it is better to wait til costa mesa...but if he still wants to go....I will tell him he needs to drive!

I will post here if we go so that possibly I could meet some of you guys off the forum.. thanks for all the input!

Hey....since it is smaller and maybe people avoid it....think there may ACTUALLY be some ammo and reloading stuff there? I am getting tired of seeing the 1st guys in coming out with friggin CARTS and WAGONS filled with the stuff,I get there and GONE!

No, the people dont avoid it. They still go, and very few leave with smiles on their faces. It's just a reminder of how crappy a show in LA Co, can be.

The Glendale Show is small, but you can get ammo there. Miwall is usually there and last time their booth was packed! Don't forget to print out a discount coupon

Yes the show is small. Is it worth the drive for you? Probably not unless it's to hit a vendor that you already know is there. That being said, I'll probably go - not on Saturday (since we have unrelated "relatives" in town) but on Sunday.

The Glendale show is small compared to Costa Mesa, but I usually go to support the cause. I appreciate the fact that a show is put on at all in the county of LA. maybe if we keep supporting it, that may cause it to grow. Something to do on a saturday also. Costa Mesa has everything you need but glendale is a show that I have to support.

                            Indeed. :-)

What everyone else said--it's small compared to Costa Mesa, two floors that together are probably smaller than one of the buildings at CM. Smaller than Del Mar, I guess. It's nice for me because it's ten minutes from my house, but I can't think of anything there that isn't at other shows.

If you come by say hi at the NRA table.

Hey Guys, well I guess myself and a friend or 2 are going to go, I am telling them we need to be there about 830am so we wont be in forever..sound about right?
I will probably be bringing a rifle of some sort to check scope fit and whatnot...maybe bring my AR10 for a shopping trip...I dont shell out $$ unlessI try it on(the Rifle) first...been burned a bit over the years.

Think there needs to be a way for Calgunners to recognize each other at a show...maybe I will post what kind of shirt I will be wearing on saturday here on friday...pretty sure I willl be the only one with it on....

Yea I am thinking ammo,MAYBE find a beat 1022 for a 'reskin job'
