paddle release on BB firearm

If i understand correctly, registration requires photographs of the firearm with the bullet button installed. If the bullet buttoned firearm still has the paddle release installed (ex. HK type firearms) but not functional, how can i show that the paddle release does not function? Do i need to show this?

You may need to just take your photos and apply, to see what they come back with. If they have any questions, I imagine they'll come back to you with them for clarification.
