No longer in possession curiosity

If as a California citizen, one were to remove all firearms the state might know about and store them over in the United States, can one honestly and legally fill out a "no longer in possession" form? What is the DOJ's definition of "possession" ?

Also the form probably won't be processed unless you put the information of who you transferred them to. Don't forget like most government documents signing it is under penalty of perjury, a felony that would bring a lifetime firearms ban.

No. If you read the form they ask how they were disposed and who bought the gun. You would be filling a false report.

This is incorrect. In California you are a Subject, which has been codified in Penal Code Section 5471(s), Firearm Manufactured By Unlicensed Subject.

Uh, no. The form is very specific. It does not allow you to just state "no longer in possession". You have to follow that up with where the gun went. Who it was transferred to, etc. For instance if you check "transferred firearm out of state":
• If you check "Transferred firearm out of state," list the name and address of the person who purchased/obtained the
firearm and the date of the sale or transfer, and the name, address, telephone number and, if known, the Federal Firearms
License (FFL) number of the firearms dealer(s) who conducted the sale/transfer. You must also attach any relevant
documentation of the sale or transfer, such as a sales receipt.
