I Got Something Old and Something New Today

I went to a Portland, OR gun show today. Along with 2 new concealed carry holsters, an old USGI holster for my M1917 revolvers, 5 new USGI "Spectacles, Special Protective Eyewear, Cylindrical System (Specs)" to use when I take new shooters shooting, and five 30-round PMAGs for $8 each (limit 5 per customer), I got something old, and something new.



First the something old: an FN Browning Model 1900.




The Model 1900 was one of the earliest semiauto pistol designs of John M. Browning. It was the first production handgun to use the .32ACP (7.65mm) cartridge, which became a very popular pocket pistol cartridge. 724,550 Model 1900 pistols were produced between 1900 and 1914. This one came with a period holster.



The something new is a SIG P320 with night sights.

The recoil spring is also the striker spring, acting on the striker through a pivoting link. Very clever, Mr. Browning.
The link also sticks up to block the rear sight if the pistol isn't cocked.

All used guns sold by that seller were $50 off at the show so it was $349.99 with the holster. No sales tax in Oregon. I bought both pistols from the same seller so I paid one $10 fee for the instant background check for both pistols.

Great deal on the FN1900. They really are decent little shooters despite being ugly.
I paid $600 for mine which is much more of a typical market price, although it is in pretty good shape.
