Pre GCA-68 No serial number question.

Found an old .22 rifle I'm interested in buying. It is in another state. Was manufactured before 1968 and has no serial number.

Can I have it sent to a California FFL and do the paperwork like any other legal firearm? This is nothing else that would prohibit this gun here.

Yes.

FFLs have something they can enter in DROS indicating no serial number. That's OK.

Just make sure your ffl will accept s no serial number gun. Some won't. I've usually entered for the sn. Pre68 no sn on dros.
