I carry the Sig P239 in 357 Sig. Handles the recoil well but being a single stack you give up a lot of capacity while still having a wide gun. Shoots as groups about as well as my P226
I found the factory grips a little too narrow and put some Hogue checkered rosewood grips on it, now it is perfect.

I have a P239 in 9mm. The handgun is the perfect size for carrying, not too big and heavy and not too small and light. It shoots reliably and accurately. The single stack magazine contributes to its perfect size. With a 9mm, I can have one in the chamber and 8 in the magazine and an extra magazine is no problem to carry. I have a P227SAS in .45 ACP and it is big and heavy compared to the P239. I have a S&W 60 in .38 Special, but the P239 is the same size and weight but it carries 4 more rounds.

I have had the Sig P239 in .40. It's a great gun. I've actually owned it twice but sold it both times...just prefer to P229...mostly because of the style of the P229 and because it has a 10 round mag.

I know a few people now who also have the P239...nothing to complain about.

If youre in the OC area, OC indoor range in Brea has one for rent.

If you can handle P229 then P239 is no problem, maybe a little more snappy but no biggie.

I have a P239 .40 and also have the .357sig bbl. Recoil slightly more than the P229 but still very manageable in both calibers. And damned accurate.

You guys with P239 .357/.40, did you change the factory grip? I replaced mine with Hogue grips and is now comfortable and more meat to grab around.
Perfect for my medium size hand.

I have both the 9mm and the .40. What sort of feedback are you looking for?

I agree. Just lock your wrists and grip it firmly.

Great weapon, always felt accurate and confident shooting it. I'm selling one if you're interested. I got it as a ccw weapon as I'm used to carrying a 226. Still too big for me to conceal. 5-9,130 and female.

My P239 is in 9mm, but I did not like the aluminum grips. I bought a pair of G10 grips, and they are so much better. The best grip is the Sig Sauer E2 grips that came with my P227, but Sig does not offer the E2 grip for a P239.
