Hi,
I am not sure what to do or who to bring this scenario to. I have sent this issue to a couple different moderators (at least I think they are moderators), and the seller, with no response from any of them. I am hoping I can get pushed in the right direction. Here is the issue at hand and I will say that any advice or direction would be appreciated. I sent this to the seller I purchased the gun from,
Hi,
I bought the .38 from you a few months back. When you told me the firing pin had been broken, you did not make it clear to me that it was broken at the time of the sale. I took it to the range and attempted to shoot it and found out the pin was broken off. I also noticed that the cylinder was dragging on the frame.
I contacted Rossi and they said to send it in to them that the repairs would be covered under warranty. I spent the $60 to ship it to them for repairs. They have now had it for a couple months and I just received a phone call from their representative, Victor. He stated that the frame is bent and the firearm is not only un-repairable but it is not safe to fire.
I purchased this firearm under the impression it was an operable firearm. I would like to ask that you refund the purchase price and the cost have incurred for the transfer and the cost to ship it back to Rossi. They will be returning the firearm to me with a letter stating the problems and that the firearm is inoperable.
I look forward to your response.
Thanks, Jason
So, with all of that being said, I understand the whole "buyer beware" mantra. I just have a serious problem with someone unloading an in-operable firearm on me (no pun intended, lol).
