Unpleasant Experience with Desert Fox Sales

I have been debating if I should share this experience or not because I keep trying to make myself believe this company will live up to their word.

On June 15th, I ordered some AK parts from desertfoxsales.com I wanted to buy an AK74 rear sight block that their website said was in stock. After not having received any emails about shipping, I emailed the website. They quickly returned my email and said they hadn't charged me, and they were out of rear sight blocks, but would get some.

I told them I would wait if they were willing to compensate for the inconvenience of waiting. They replied with "I will take care of you brother".

I was expecting to wait like 5 days or a week at most.

On July 3rd I emailed again because I hadn't heard anything. They said they were about to get some rear sight blocks and would probably have them by the end of the week. Then no emails or communication after that till today, when I emailed them asking about the status. They said they didn't have 'em. No word if they will ever have them.

But the thing that makers me feel most unpleasant is that their website still says they are in stock! I know its not illegal, but it's very unpleasant to be waiting for an unspecified amount of time with only vague promises to hold on to.

I refuse to wait any longer with this type of attitude toward customers. Kvar, here I come.

Update: they sent out the parts I wanted after I expressed my disappointment.

In these situations, I am quick to forgive as long as I get the parts I ordered. So far they have "take(n) care of" me. They are Men of their word. We'll see what the products look like. Should be here any day.

They don't owe you any "compensation" just because an item is out of stock doesn't mean they are "inconveniencing" you o' gentle snowflake.

Also surplus foreign made AK parts are a bit different in terms of vendor sourcing than some random Magpul widget which makes your post seem even more ridiculous to anyone that has a clue about the AK market.

This is for you OP cheers!
