Good point. I missed where the OP was from too. Did this happen at TRAP? I've had nothing but good experiences there, unfortunate if yours was poor but I'd talk to them about it. The staff seem very professional and friendly at Tracy Rifle & Pistol. I'm sure they'd want to know if they missed the mark.

      Have a simple agreement
If buyer fails dros, or for any reason fails to pick up the firearm from the store, then a 25% inconvience fee / return to owner fee applies plus all actual costs including, time, gas, Dros, etc.
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
      (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

You get to meet and know the buyer during the original PPT.
If they're nice enough, I wouldn't mind doing a 2nd PPT, subject to my availability.
Twice, I decided to buy ammo during the scheduled pick-up so I get to see that I have a happy buyer.

I have had this happen. The buyer needs to re dros. Seller does not need to be there. The seller would only have to be there if the gun was being given back to seller. Ffl has all the info they need to re dros.
In this scenario turners was able to re dros without me being there and everything was good.

Sounds more like a consignment sale rather than a PPT. Seller does have to be there to sign a new copy of the DROS.

Depends on how cool the buyer was, how far I had to drive and how busy my schedule was. I can be a nice enough guy, but having to redo it twice is really pushing the limit.

                  Agreed.

Happened to me a few years ago, luckily the PPT was at Fort Courage where Tim rushed me through my end of it. Still a PITA.
