After shooting two different 10mm, then a commander 45ACP, I picked up my EMP 3 inch in 9mm. The EMP was really nice to shoot. Having neck problems (Doc wants to fuse 3 levels) the EMP had little recoil and was accurate and a joy to shoot. Being a die hard 45 fan, just don't think I will ever be able to change. But my 10mm days are near the end, even with down loaded ammo, bummer.

I'm really sorry to hear that man. Hope you stil get lots of love and joy out of your new gunsUnless we keep the barbarian virtues, gaining the civilized ones will be of little avail. Oversentimentality, oversoftness, washiness, and mushiness are the great dangers of this age and of this people." Teddy Roosevelt

My neck is what it is, and will try a few ejections before I consider going under the knife. Thanks for your good thoughts. I have had two low back surgeries with the last having a few steel rods and six lag bolts installed about twenty years ago, that was a God send and really fixed me up.
My 10mm is a Glock 20, and my loads do not go near max, just 180gr at1200 fps. The other 10mm was a friends Kimber, he was having trouble with his groups, all over the place with his reloads. So I tried his reloads in my G20, group of 5 was about 2 inches. His reloads were at least 5 inches out of the Kimber. My reloads in his Kimber would group about 3 inches one time, then the next 5 plus inches. We tried factory loads of 155gr at 1500 fps and got a 3 inch groups. We think he needs to go to a lighter bullet and fast to match the barrel in the Kimber, like the factory loads we tried.
I am a die hard 1911 shooter in 45acp, I just shoot them so well. But the EMP is just nice to shoot and fun, plus it does not bother my neck.
Maybe I will start looking for a 1911 in 9mm, i figure it would be a soft shooter.Last edited by SoCal1911; 07-23-2017, 10:14 PM.Comment

Yes, 9mm 1911 is a great shooter. There are really 2 9mm 1911 on the roster, Kinber and Springfield Armory. I have the SA, good gun all around, very soft shooter.
If you ask around, 2/3 of the guys here will go for SA, 1/3 will be Kimber fans. I really like my SA /after small dehorning job, mag well and extended mag release/. Wilson Combat magazines work 100 %, I hear Trip Cobra are good as well.https://jpfo.org/articles-assd03/jew-without-gun.htm
