no one has done more to screw over the 6.5G more than Bill Alexander. maybe now we'll see 6.5G become more standardized

According to the internet Bill has had a few disagreements with people in the weapon industry, however once he had SAAMI specs for Grendel it became fairly standardized.

It would be nice if it did increase availability of Grendel

It seems to be the most versatile and optimal cartridge for AR's.

Wow... 6.5 Grendel? He invented it, as well as, several other improved AR 15 calibers.

If he left, big bummer, he's a genius! He and i had a looking talk at SHOT about the 6.5 SAUM. He was really interested in it and its performance.

I wonder if he also had his hand in developing the 50 Beowulf?

I suspect he's a good engineer and a poor businessman.

He was probably forced out of his own company so Alexander Arms could be more competitive in the marketplace.

Hopefully we'll now see wider adoption of both the 6.5 Grendel and .50 Beowulf as well as more competitive pricing. Bill did a great job developing both rounds, but then hamstrung the widespread acceptance of the rounds with poor business decisions.
