Seriously, why do I try Armslist?

Relocated to South Bay from NC last year. Great area, really enjoying the location. Now the issue: Used to buy/sell via Armslist in NC frequently with zero issues. Over the last month looking for a 1st gen(non railed)Sig P229. Found one local, good price. Emailed the seller back and forth, meeting places, dates, times. We agreed on a date and time. Morning of meeting he sends me an email saying it won't work, "maybe it wasn't meant to be". WTF, I sent him numerous options for meeting dates, times, etc.... Second try, find a local 229, send numerous email to seller.....nothing. Frustration. Rant over, sorry.

It seems that Armslist sellers in Commiefornia have a higher percentage of flakes than in other states. I buy off of the local Armslist here in N. Nevada and have had no issues at all.

I set up a meet one time. He flaked on me. I texted him wondering what happened. I got a reply back that his girlfriend found out about the gun and he could not talk right now. I guess mommy put him on a time out.

I've encountered nothing but flakes and scammers on armlist and yet I keep trying to use it. It's as bad as Craigslist.

Do people really use backpage for anything other than hookers and blow?

Armslist=scams/flakes! Stick to calguns we have a feeedback rating system here I've never had an issue yet. Might have to be patient but what you seek will show up if you keep looking...

I've sold quite a few guns on armslist and never had an issue. Actually sold for more than what I listed them on here. You can tell the scammers and flakes pretty easily so I just ignore them, same with low ballers.
Tried backpage once but didn't like the fees they try to add on.

I've paid zero fees on back page....I seen them though they are optional
