Is this an organization for any American gun owner to prudently join?

Supposedly, this outfit protects gun owners from criminal prosecution or civil liability that might arise over gun use in self-defense situations even when shots are not fired.

By the way, what should one tell POLICE whenever a gun is used in self-defense: NOTHING, shut up and ask for a lawyer, or explain what happened?

Yes they did this year in Atlanta when they came out with their own carry insurance.
