You can build a fixed mag rifle still. Or featureless or you can also build a rim fire rifle just make sure if you build a fixed mag rifle that it is truly a fixed mag and you have to dissemble the action to change mags.

The problem with the plan of featureless for the range and not for the house is if you ever use it on someone you open yourself up to a lot of court problems. The cops will come in and want to know why you have and used an unregistered assault weapon and the DA and the bad guys family lawyer would have a field day with you and whatever assets you still had. Civil and criminal. In my opinion a 12 gauge pump or a good pistol would solve some of those problems. Keep in mind my opinion is worth everything you paid for it.

Well, telling people to do illegal stuff on this forum is frowned upon. Even Kes's boss doesn't like it. Yeah we all agree some of these laws are stupid and unenforceable, but it would be best to just tell people what the laws are and let them figure out how comfortable they feel passing the boundaries.
