Hey yall,
Just wanted to share my experience with KE Arms (so far).
June 29: I received my KE 17 Charlie slide from Hinterland Outfitters (GTG and legit btw). Went to go install my new Glock internals and saw this.. I wasn't able to install the extractor/ plunger etc.
SEE ATTACHED
Personally, I thought it was rusting, or a piece of a drill bit broke inside. I immediately contacted KE Arms. The person (name privacy) responded quickly within 24 hours. The person who helped me said it was residue from their melonite processes.
I don't know how this slide made it out of QC before shipping to their dealers. Which worries me how may other slides were not inspected completely before releasing to the public.
Along with this, when fitting the slide on my Glock lower, the fit was extremely tight. Tight enough where with no internal components, I could shake it and hold the slide perpendicular to the ground without it moving. I measured the dimensions of the inner rails compared to a new Glock 17 slide and saw that it was several hundredths off in some places. My OEM Glock internal rail dimensions (20.01- 20.06mm w/ Mitutoyo CD-6).
The slide fit was not really an issue, because there is a break in period. but just wanted to put that information in here for reference.
June 30: They sent me a return packaging slip via email, and sent it out that Friday.
July 5:Package received in AZ, and I sent an email for reference. No response back.
July 6: No response
July 7, Friday: Called KE Arms around 3pm. Talked to the same person I was talking to via email. Said would leave a note for the manager to call me. Gave my info. No response for the rest of the day.
July 10: No response so far.
Will update
I just wanted record my experience with this company, because I know tons of people have ordered that RMR deal from Cabelas and are looking for a slide option that doesn't take 4 weeks for a milling.
