    Shield sights

    What do u have?

Currently have truglo FO in green. Not impressed and prefer red front, black rear. Like Ameriglo pro I dot with orange front or other FO red front.

    What u suggest

Anything is better than those stock rear sights.

Ameriglo idot. Front sight took some pounding. Rear slipped right in.

I got the HiViz fiberoptic front sight on ebay for under $20, then blacked out the rear sight with a sharpie. The red fiber optic really jumps at you, makes it really easy and quick to focus on that front sight.

Wow those Dawson's look great and more comfortable to rack or carry than my trijicon HDs on my glock 30. Those guys are sharp

OG Shield sights are sharper than heck.
Carried my shield aiwb and it cut up my belly and my groin and all of the cuts and scratches were raised and itchy.

Do a research back when the M&P Shield was first introduced-the white painted sight dots were literally after low round counts falling out of their sight indents.

I really enjoy my Tru Glo TFO sights. Very easy to see with my aging eyes.

I have a little story to tell. I own 3 M&P series pistols fs.40 & 45 and a 9mm Shield that I recently purchased. The 40 has the Ameriglo Pro idot and the 45 has a Truglo green fiber optic front and blacked out rear. I've shot well over 12k rounds through these two at cardboard targets like those used in IDPA. I recently did a CCW qualification class where they had the black silhouette targets. Out of the 3 guns I shot the best with the Shield with the stock sights. The reason? I found that when shooting at a dark target you lose the visual of the day light between the front and rear sights. This caused me to shoot a bit looser groups at the 15yard line with the Big M&Ps. I had no reference in regards to windage while the with stock 3 dot on the Shield I could still center the front dot between the rears. IMHO any good combat sights need to have a 3dot system unless you are only going to only face perps wearing light color clothing.

Interesting. I've felt the same though I feel like I need different color front from the dots in the rear. My hk p30 has those euro hit it with light and they glow for a bit but in stress I could see them all being the same green color to cause you to second guess where the center is.

I've got em in red on multiple M&P's. Love em.

Dawson sell a set with red FO and black rear. My other option is just buy a black rear and use the green front. Too bad I cannot change the rod color.
