    What's wrong with these people?

This guy sitz on his gun (?!?) and suffers some really bad consequences:

The page you're trying to access could not be found or is no longer available.

Then this guy uses his gun/holster as a flag stand and does something similar:

The United States Park Police confirmed to CBS affiliate WHP that the man accidentally triggered his revolver, which was inside a leg holster

If you carry a gun, pay attention to what you're doing!!!!
    Tire kickers gonna kick,
    Nose pickers gonna pick
I and others know the real

We should. For every idiot who hurts himself or others with a gun there is another excuse for anti-gun people to go on a tirade about how dangerous guns are - and how people shouldn't have them.

Well, that is the problem with the country...

Anti gun crowd pushes for more restrictions. Instead of requiring education. Parents teach kids not to run with scissors... but how to utilize scissors correctly. Not to touch a hot stove... but how to use the stove to cook.

Media and anti gun crowd scare people about guns. Fewer and fewer parents will teach their kids to "not sit on guns"... so how would they learn? Parent is anti gun. Kid grows up and can legally buy a gun. It was taboo, kid is excited, kid has never held one before. Anti gun crowd made sure kid doesn't have sufficient education. Kid accidentally shoots themselves or someone else.

Restrictions are anti-educational. If they want accidental deaths or injuries with guns to go down, education is the only answer. Not smart guns, not locked guns, not any of the stupid stuff they are forcing onto "stupid" people.

Sure, accidents will still happen, but I bet they would be a bit fewer and far apart. And obviously any tool can fail regardless of how correctly it is being used. But that is a different issue.

And I can see how different parents will teach different things. Or not teach enough. "Never happened before, so nothing to worry about" for example.

I say, let's have NRA firearm courses in every high school. Like math, course has to be taken. The taboo effect is reduced, people are more aware of what is "assault weapon" and what is not. What high capacity is and what is not. Etc.

If politicians would fear the Clock, soon enough no one would know how to tell time.

I don't think so. Stupid is stupid whether they hurt themselves with a car, a ball or a gun. I guess it's how you look at things.

Park spokeswoman Katie Lawhon said the man's revolver accidentally discharged
            WHISKY TANGO FOXTROT!

What was he carrying, a Walker Colt with 6 loaded?

Negligently discharged would be the correct way to describe this incident.
