Best ammo for SKS 7.62x39

I just got my new SKS and I wanted to get an idea of what is the best quality ammo to shoot from it that is range compliant?

I don't shoot to much so price isn't to much an issue. I'm not looking for anything exotic just good quality. I'd like to get a recommendation of brand, a fair price to buy it at and perhaps where you guys actually do go to buy it.

does your range require non-magnetic projectiles?

If so get that brass corrosive yugo or non-corrosive S&B. expensive stuff...

Otherwise Wolf military classic or polyformance FMJ is my favorite. About 22cpr shipped right now, great price. Seriously buy 10k if you have a place to shoot it.

That's correct I must use non-magnetic rounds. I only want to get the non-corrosive stuff.

S&b works as well as wwb. Expensive but usable. Hell I would get a few cases of the steel case stuff for stocking up and just use the brass case stuff for the range.

Honestly I wouldn't worry about corrosive, just bring a bottle of water to clean out before leaving the range.

Otherwise, with the high prices of non-magnetic 7.62x39, I'd switch to .223/556.

Yup... at the range I use the corrosive Yugo stuff and follow up with a magazine of non corro$ive baller ammo then douse & scrub everything with moose milk when I get home.

Got a few cans of steel as well. Just no place to shoot it near by.

The Yugo is excellent ammo, BTW.

Try Wolf polyperformance non-steel. It shoots almost as good as Golden Tiger. Steel case, non steel bullets. Get it from SGAmmo. Much less $ than Yugo M67.
