    I use a punch and mallet to remove and just the mallet to put it back. Some SKSs are just fussy and have really tight tolerances. It's a good thing

        My YUGO was like that, My Chinese is just a snap.Turn it upside down on a firm flat surface and go for it with a 2x4 or soft mallet.
