Even if he did put a ban in that didn't have a sunset date, that doesn't mean such legislation is written with a permanent marker, just hope that the next GOP congress has the backbone to repeal it.

Well I'm more of a rifle guy so the pistol thing doesn't bother me, although I've had my eye on getting one of those Taurus Judges . I'm going to be in the Ft Bragg area.

I think you need some sort of "permission slip" from the local sheriff to purchase a pistol or at least that's what the gun store told me a few years ago.

My daughter and her family is at Ft. Bragg, her husband is stationed there. Gets pretty humid in the summer time! I was at Ft. Bragg in 1976 in the Army. We called Fayetteville FayetteNam, but I hear that it has been cleaned up and toned down since then. Enjoy yourself!
