gifting a lower - to TX

yeah, i know they can probably get it cheap. dunno how much the transfer/dros would be for a transfer.

with new laws, i figure this is still OK since people are still buying lowers, but i'm going to ship mine out to TX. it'll go to their designated ffl obviously.

any thing i missed? in accordance to soon to come deadlines on bb?

Well, sure. I think you can actually gift a small nuclear weapon to a friend in Texas.

That sucks, you should definitely just bring it in person, hand it to them and you are done. If you want extra credit you can fill out a simple bill of sale but that is not required and unnecessary... if you actually know the person. Sending it via ffl requires the recipient to take time out of their day, go to said ffl and pay all the associated costs. Way not cool bro, as far as "gifts" go. It's like saying here's a gift but I'm to lazy to come out and visit so instead I'll force you to pay for your gift cuz I'm lazy and too busy to make time to actually see you.

You would have to ship it to their FFL with a copy of your driver's license included noting that you are gifting the firearm to said person.

no problem making receipts and what not. i figure even with TX, it still requires FFL (my research). I'm not in TX obviously to do a ppt. never heard of just "handing" things for TX but he's checking with his contacts also. i mean, if the ffl transfer charge is like CA and i might as well paypal him money to pay for his lower. LOL that'll be way cheaper.

he's hook on EBR fever now. obviously his experience will be better w/o dealing with CA laws. if i am going to F1 november in austin, might figure something differently.
