    AZ loaded open carry

i know this thread is pretty old but figured id ask, ive been going to havasu for a long time but i cant find any info on if havasu city is tribal land or not, i dont plan to carry on the water as alchohal is usually on the boat and dont want to deal with that but while in the city would be nice. Anyone know is havasu city a go or no go?

So if you walk into a place that allows open carry or just outdoors in AZ and you see some young looking MS13 type gang members open carrying do you feel safe? Sorry to stereotype but is there a huge gang and drug problem in Phoenix area? Loaded open carry and cops just look and smile and do not inspect like say here in CA? Clearly there are not shoot outs as the media would claim if open carry was allowed in AZ, wild west that the media says would happened if everybody had a CCW! And that is going thru training and classes to get CCW here! But in AZ no training required? So some doofwad unstable guy mad at the world can open carry? Well he would think twice if he saw others open carrying and not go crazy right? Deterrence? Just curious how this all works in AZ compared to CA which is super strict for everything!!!

Sounds like Dodge City back in the 1800's. Turn your guns in to the sheriff and pick them up when you leave town.

        Still beats here.

I would suspect that CCW is basically a right denied to illegals.

I would suspect that illegals don't give a shat if it's a right denied. Just as they didn't care about illegally crossing the border.

Common sense goes a long way out here in AZ. I don't go to parts of the city with a gun that I would not go to without. Bad guys tend to hide guns and hang out with other bad guys so it is the same as any other state.

Cops do not bother open carriers unless there is a need. I have ran around on the slides with my son while open carrying a few blocks from the police station. I still see dads kicking a soccer ball in the park with a pistol on their hip. I go to the towns yearly police night where they show the kids all the swat trucks and firearms they use and I am open carrying surrounded by dozens of cops.

It's not a big deal to open carry in most of AZ. When you go to the more leftist areas it is not liked. The biggest issue is many stores do not allow open carry so if you want to go shopping you just conceal. I used to open carry a G26 and would just cover it with my tshirt when I had to go inside a store. I did that at a movie theater and the manager saw I was obviously printing and just asked me to put my gun in my car. I did as he asked and the next time I went I just had a smaller gun better hidden. Never had an issue since.

My city hall has lockers outside that I put my gun and knives in when I have to deal with business issues. Imagine what would happen if someone at a CA city hall saw a guy pulling his gun out of his holster in front of the sliding doors.

I think what he is saying is that he lives in a free state where the politicians and police are not afraid of the people they serve and it is understood that a free man has the right to defend himself.

Unlike the worthless turds that run Commiefornia and are deathly afraid that their subjects might turn against them.

I reside in an almost crime free area but I do have land in the true wild wild west. Anyone that shoots at my private range has to have a sidearm at all times and I keep a machine gun in the front seat when driving in the area. It is mostly for wild dogs but there are people in the desert that usually keep to themselves but can be very territorial. When we have time we explore the area. Imagine a housing community with gridded out streets but they are dirt roads and were last graded by the Army back in the 50's. Nature took back most of the streets. Some are not passable. Some streets the full time residents blocked off with nails and glass embedded in cement, dug trenches, or dumped dirt so trucks get high centered and stuck.

Why would one carry open and unloaded? Just as useful as in the car locked up.

Always carry loaded. #Condition1 or none

The waters of Lake Havasu are patrolled by the CHP IIRC.
