    battle rifle

If your life depended on it, what rifle would you take to battle.

    My Lancaster AK47
    Troy long alfa rail
    Troy top rail w/gas block
    Wolf max recoil spring
    tapco trigger

Easy to shoot, easy to clean, available ammo and lots of stopping power.

    Scar 16/17. Reliable, common ammo.

Not the 16-standard 5.56 AR mags, and for the 17, there is a lower that will take regular .308.

You might want to check the common definition of a "battle rifle"...AK's don't quite make the cut.
True wealth is time. Time to enjoy life.

Life's journey is not to arrive safely in a well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy schit...what a ride"!!

I have never understood the Internet fascination with Battle Rifle.

None of those. Being a man in my middle 50's in old enough now to realize that shooting it out with anyone is a losing deal. I'd evade, escape or die trying. I'd take a bolt action .30-06, a 12 gauge and a .22 and head for my cabin....

I'm not knocking you, brother. I'm in my 50's also, except I've got a jacked up knee and hip that severely limits my ability to evade on foot. And since I don't live in my car, that means I need to hustle to my car to expeditiously escape.

If I'm at home, I'm standing my ground. There are a great number of bang-bang and sharp pointy things all around my place that give me an advantage over a would be pillaging assaulter intent on ruffling my feathers.

                          Battle rifle?

My fulton armory m14 , built up with usgi parts kit from the cmp some years back.

I have new c308 sporter built from a cetme kit, but i havent shot that yet and i guarantee it isnt as reliable as the m14.

"Sporter" is what the drooling toothless inbred albino with the hacksaw thinks his newly created "dear riffel" is.
"Bubba" is what he and his ugly and ruined rifle really are.
First you are chopping up historic vintage rifles and sticking them in cheap and nasty looking plastic "dildo" stocks that look like some kind of futuristic sex toy that gay space aliens stick up each other's butts.
Next thing you know, you think "Deliverance" is a love story.

M1A--But I do not do "battle". But I will defend myself if the crap hits the fan.
Also have mini14 and 30 as well as a couple of 50BMG rifles. Then there is the pump and bolt action rifles and my pistols and shotguns. I have ammo for all of them.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.
