So I meet the guy outside of a Turners. We park on the side out of the way, I open my tailgate, unlock the case and I let him inspect the gun. He hands over the cash. I give him the extra mags to pocket, and then we both walk into Turners and wait at the front for the gun check. Manager shows up and checks out the gun. Then he asks the buyer if he has all of the required forms of ID, and the buyer whips out his wallet and shows the manager some IDs, and I hear the manager say "Oh, law enforcement? Okay good then."
HAHAHA. The buyer never told me he was a LEO. That caught me totally by surprise, it threw me for a split second as my brain burped, but then I felt happy because I knew that there would be no problems with the DROS.
I should have suspected he was a LEO when I met him outside in the parking lot, because of his look and his quiet calm reserved demeanor. Super nice guy. LASD.
Just goes to show how you never know who you're gonna meet
