    Las Vegas Gun Shops

Going there this weekend. Are there any recommended places for browsing and maybe picking up some goodies?

Stopped by the Citadel on my way out of town last week. Nice set up. Lots of gun cases, and accessories. Noticed a load of AR/AK mags too.

    They had 5 W.A.S.R.'s in stock @ $599

I asked about 7.62x39, none. He did have several crates for 5.56, and some 7.62x54

Personally, I liked the setup of the Gun Store better.

Above all, Henderson Defense is hands down the best place to go IMO. However, if you are looking for something specific, call ahead. Ron and son are very California friendly!

This question is asked at least once a week. From now on I'm posting this: it is by far the most interesting gun store in Vegas!

      National Survival Store
      4663 Spring Mountain Rd
      Las Vegas, NV 89102 Map

People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

they have guns hanging from the ceiling from string and their workers are a little "odd" at times. the owner also likes to tell you a bunch of BS. gives me funny feelings being in there.

Citadel is great, I-15 north, take flamingo, the head back over the freeway, take a left at the FIRST light, it winds down to a frontage road along the freeway. It about 2 blocks on the left after you turn right onto the frontage road.
Jon and Amber are nice people, ive bought quite a few guns from them.

GUn store is pompous ***'s. Dont mention ca or they will probably boot you from the store. They all look roided out and wear shirts 2 sizes too small. I stil cant figure out why they are all packing and have to prominatley display it. I understand carrying, but some of these tools have 2 pistols on them.
I guess they expect to get robbed? There must be 20 of them working at the same time, hopefully the crossfire kills 19 of em.

Never stopped by the survival store, although American shooters aint bad, and another shop..cant remember the name , is good too, but cant remember the name of the place, they do my gunbroker transactions...hmmm...anyway, have fun.

Was in Henderson Defense last year and even though I was from California I was treated really great. Some of the other Vegas gun stores that I have visited treat you like low lifes. Bought a Tac Holster, powder & primers there. I think it was the mom that waited on me.

Which gun store is it that follows people around inside and accosts them in the parking lot and tells them not to come back when they find out they are from California?

These guys are good...they're down the street from Pro Bass when you enter town. They rent full autos too, if you wanna do that.

So Cali money is no good at some of these places? That will be an interesting conversation if that confrontation comes up! I'll cary a voice recorder for everyones amusement.

Maybe I should use cash so the ID situation does not occur as with a credit card.

You better carry bail money if their recording laws are like ours.

Dosent matter, if you buy any hi cap mag, or other item that is restricted in ca they WILL ID you, whether you pay cash or not. I know, it happened to me when I went to the gun store, and heard the same thing from many others. And to be fair, I think since the gun store rents machine guns, etc, is right off the strip, and is a MAJOR tourist attraction, they are probably trying to cover their butt, but still, they dont need to have the attitude with the ca people they have. Other gun stores havent id me for hi cap mags, but they are all off the main strip and kinda local hang outs. YMMV

FWIW, I've had standard cap mags for well over 20 years, both pistol & rifle, that's not what I'm looking for.

I was not aware that there are some shops in Las Vegas that consider us Californians a notch lower on the totum pole.

I dropped in there late last year and asked to see a SOCOM II they had behind the counter. The guy asked what state I was from and when I told him CA he said he couldn't let me touch it! When I told him that it was a CA legal rifle and asked what's up with the stupid policy, I got a lot of FUD, but never a clear explanation. I then asked to see a CA legal handgun and got the same treatment. Didn't want to waste anymore of my time there so I just left.
