Its all about the web OP. I came up with the same exact idea, basically offset the fin to the side. Only problem I saw was a smaller hand is able to get the web below the trigger line. So a small hand ATF agent can hang you out to dry.
I ditched that idea and just made precision cut fins that screw to the stock A2 or AK grips. Also a thumb rest to give some positive control. I have a video on youtube of em.
