    keymod, M-lok or quad rail

I have rifles with quad rails and keymod handguards. Are M-lok any better or worse?

Key mod or m-lok doesn't make much difference. Most of the stuff doesn't really come in either, so you wind up buying a short rail section for too much money.
Quad rail is heavier and a hand destroyer. Today's quads don't really do what it was designed for way back when.

True. The quad rail on one of my AKs is a fat cheese grader.

Everything can be had in either keymod of Mlok. There really is not reason to even use rail sections anymore. Bipod mounts, light mounts, sling attachments, handstops, etc are all available in either config. I have not owned a quadrail in probably 5 years. Truly hate them as they do no good and just weigh a lot and are bulky.

I went with an Alg M-Loc and never looked back, very happy with it.

I ended up putting an alfa rail on an AK and AR10 and love it. Light weight and slim. any advice for a saiga izmash two piece rail?

Having used all three, I prefer the M-Lok.
It's lighter than picatinny rails and more secure than keymod.

All cheapo chi-com keymods here. I like the smooth finish and the under $50 prices.

Keymod or M-lok do the job just fine for what I'll use my rifle for.....they both have a million things you can attach if you'd like. If you want a tactical toaster for your pop tarts they have an attachment...all kidding aside you can't go wrong with either one. In the end it's just a preference either cosmetically or what your first rifle had so you decided to stick with it for simplicity. So get whichever you like op after all it's your rifle and if it's your first you'll figure out what you like or want for the next one...

Quad rails were all the rage until keymod showed up. keymod was all the rage until Mlok showed up. Mlok is all the rage now until something else comes along.
For training, classes and range use, all of them will work fine. Quad rails are a bit heavier than the other two if that matters.

Looks like military will end up going with M-lok after that recent report came out. So Keymod may be gone in the future.

Neither of them are convenient as Quad rail. But lets face it, 90% of AR market is dictated by what looks cool.
