    Novak or Heinie sites?

I want to change out my Colt factory sites for either Novaks or Heinies. I have a set of Novaks on my full sized Gov and like them but was thinking of the Heinie sites.

Anyone have both or an opinion on either that could help with my decision? Which offers a better site picture and which is quicker to pickup on target?

I much prefer the Heinies over the Novaks. The Novak sight picture is way too busy compared to the plain, serrated Heinie blade.

I think in order to install Novaks into a stock Colt, you'll have to have the slide machined for them.

        Definitely Heinie over Novaks.

Heinie's have a wider, deeper rear notch. Must faster to acquire.

The Novaks have multiple angles on the rear sight while the heine has a plain, clean rear. I do like a larger tritium lamp surrounded by a white outline which heine doesn't have however, but mixing and matching is always okay.
