    Gun law seminar

I listen to a radio show in Texas, and just about every commercial is about gun stores or gun ranges. there is also one for Texas Gun Law, where they teach gun owners the law, and how to know that you are with in the law when you use your gun for self defense. Every time I hear this commercial I wonder why we law abiding gun owners don't have something like this here, we live in such a communist lib state, that we need something like this here https://www.texaslawshield.com

I for one know that I would pay the fee to take this seminar. What would it take to bring a program like this to our state? Let's hear what you think.

The radio station is WBAP 890 out of Dallas/Fortworth.

I do think it would be a good idea. Maybe it would get more people into shooting/gun ownership.

If you do want great legal device, you can take a CCW course. Most of the courses are focused on the legal aspects of gun ownership/shooting/carrying.

I went to their seminars before. They are more geared towards conceal carry rights.

They have free seminars too. At least they waived it for me for some reason. I forgot what it was, I signed up at a shooting range?

What's really cool is they give a handout that outlines where you can and cannot open carry, conceal carry etc. (51% alcohol establishment, federal buildings, etc..)

Slight word of caution. They do slightly encourage more confrontations and pushing the letter of the law. My LTC courses in TX taught a lot about descalating tension techniques which these law seminars did not. But other than that, it was well worth going to. I asked a lot of questions about situations where I am in the right, and in the wrong when in a confrontation.

I definitely do want something similar in CA. There is a lot of fear nowadays about home robberies, and people don't know how to defend themselves nor when they can or cannot defend themselves.

They would be a great gift that an American born/Americanized child of immigrants can give to their voting parents who may not be as familiar with 2A laws.
