    question for a FFL

I have lived in Rancho Cucamonga for a long time. Where I live used to be called Etiwanda, but for the last 20 years its Rancho Cucamonga now. All my utility bills say "Rancho Cucamonga", my Driver license has the exact address but says "Etiwanda". The last purchase I made this became a issue, and I had to re-fill out paper work and use my CCW that says "Rancho Cucamonga".
Am I able to make a purchase with my current DL and have with it the paper copy from DMV that show the change from Etiwanda to Rancho Cucamonga? I want to make a purchase, and have no idea how long the new DL will take to arrive in mail. I only ask, because I was told that don't like to use the CCW as a form of ID.

    Thank you

    use your CCW!

I still don't understand how it is that we can be standing at the gun counter LEGALLY carrying a loaded firearm and still have to wait a week and a half to take our new firearm out of the store

      Under CA laws/regulations...

Proof of identity & age can only be done using a valid CA DL, CA ID, or Mil ID. [PC 16400]

Proof of residency can only be done using a current utility bill, current residential lease, valid property deed, or a valid Gov issued ID/permit. [PC 26845(b) and 11 CCR 4045]

      Therefore...
Your valid CA LTC permit will not be accepted as proof of identity, but it will be accepted as proof of residency
      Also...
Your valid CA LTC permit will be accepted as an exemption for needing a valid FSC [PC 31700(a)(9)] and as an exemption to needing to do the mandatory safe handling demonstration [PC 26850(h) & 26860(g)].

      Bottom line...
Use your current valid CA DL (proof of identity & age) and your valid CA LTC permit (proof of residency, FSC exemption, safe handling exemption).
