Now why would they include a cables with the .177 diameter rod(2 were included in this pack plus one from a 22-17 kit i previously bought) but not have any of the brushes in the kit fit. and not have an adapter that goes from the .117 diameter rod to the 8-32 threaded brushes that are included. or am i just missing something.

I've been wondering the same thing ever since I bought mine; but I don't own a .17 at the moment so it's not an issue yet for me.sigpic -
