    question about 6.8

since the 6.8 has been gaining popularity. i have a question i know that swtiching an upper is no biggie but can we still use the same lower for it?

also i have seen there are plenty of 10 rd mags at a decent price.

i remember reading an article about this round a couple of years ago.

Lower should be fine, just need a 6.8 magazine.

I think that the magazine issue could be problematic. IIRC, a 10 round mag in a 6.8 will take more than 10 of .223. I can't remember if a 6.8 mag will feed .223, though.

C.G. and Technical Ted would probably know this.

6.8 mag will not feed 5.56 reliably.

Yes, a mag intended for 6.8 does not feed 5.56 reliably.

Many many mags for many many guns/calibers can occasionally feed ammo of other calibers - but not reliably.

that's about what i remember the only real change is the upper and magazine of course and there is a drop in ammo capacity. but the knock down power is more than .223. again guys thanks for the info.
