Why do people put OFF ROSTER in their ads?

There are hardly any guns ON the roster!

Thank you Mitch for the grammatical correction.

It's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop at the bottom.

To explain the outlandish prices asked?

If you have to ask, then you probably can't afford it.

To warn you they are taking advantage of other gun owners by thinking their guns are worth more just because you live in california yet they call it capitalism. Every other state is laughing thier arses off about it. Gun people screwing gun people.

To validate the extensive "UPcharge" They are about to post in the pricing section

In case you miss the part about PPTs only and will not ship.

It means you have to show up locally for PPT and the gun cannot be shipped to another Californian within California.

It's like having boobs in advertising. It attracts men like donuts brings in Homer Simpson.
Just say "tactical", "mil-spec", or "boobs" and your item will sell fast!! Hahaha

So you know it can't be easily had in California and to excite the potential buyer cause he's always wanted said off roster gun and he is willing to pay a premium for it. I'm willing to pay a few extra bucks for something I can't possibly get I'm thankful to actually be able to get certain things we can't get without ppt of off roster goodies. I'm a buyer if in the market

So you can grease your anus up before paying the price. I usually don't bother saying of roster when selling guns the buyers probably already realize that and why the price is probably higher than on Gunbroker.

Depends on the seller. I am not exempt from roster so off roster guns I sell required a lot of time and trouble and/or money to track down. Why would I sell them for a loss and not market price?
