Keep in mind, according to the historical bias pronounced in the past by MSNBC, they would lump Calguns in with their definition of "the streets".

That is why there is such animosity for any report they prattle out, pertaining to firearms.

I caught onto that too. How did they determine the weapon based on the casings??? I think it's crapy investigating now they may be looking for the wrong gun because they have come to a pre-determined judgement on what they are looking for.

To be fair to the police, they probably told the reporter that the shells were commonly used in assault weapons and msnbc's awesome reporting heard what it wanted to hear. Otherwise, yeah, what a dumbass thing to assume.
