    Cerakote CZ 75 compact Grips

I have my new CCW weapon coming out of jail on monday, and was thinking about finally having a gun cerakoted. I've always kept my finish stock, but seeing as though I hate the finish on CZ's, it was a perfect opportunity.
Originally, I planned on keeping simple, black with cocobolo grips, but I'm now getting crazy thoughts. My current thought is to go with a Molon Labe theme with some burnt/midnight bronze. However, for this theme, some custom grips would set it off. Has anybody cerakoted aluminum grips? If so, how did it hold up?
Also, normally it's a no-no to derail a thread, however, if you have any ideas on a cerakote design, let me know . I'm all over the place on this one, and can't make up my mind. Only thing I'm sure of, is I HATE the current finish.

For a CCW gun I'd just keep the finish as is. But if you truly hate the finish, go for it.

The amount you'll pay to cerakote aluminum grips wouldn't be worth it IMO.

Cerakote is way over rated. It is a cheap and quick way to repair a beat up gun but will very quickly look like a cheaply painted gun. I would not destroy a brand new finish to cerakote it. If you said hard chrome or NP3, that would possibly add to a gun's value but cerakoted guns (by Bubba not Lipsey's) loose value.
Most importantly, I would not pack a colorful gun as a ccw.

I'm not worried about value. This is just a $500 gun, not a Nighthawk. I do agree that a colorful gun for CCW may not be ideal. I'm rethinking the bronze. Probably going to go Midnight Purple/Blue or Tungsten. I'm planning on having JEC Arms in Sac doing it, and they have pretty great reviews.
I would do NP3, but the turn around time is so long. Not really interested in waiting months to get it back.
