patriot mag lock

i installed 3 of these on my rifles, i've had success with 2 and the third i just had to remove because i could press the release and the mag would pop loose. so i drilled out the mag lock and am going to replace it with the ar mag lock and see how that goes, those that used the ar mag lock how do you like it?
