Modified Mags Legal in CA?

I have not been able to get a 10 round mag for my Taurus G2. I am on a waiting list with Taurus. I have modified my 12 round mag that came with the gun to accept only 10 rounds by putting a 2 round sized spacer inside the mag below the follower which limits the capacity to 10. Anyone know if that is acceptable and legal in CA? Thanks again all.

The position of the state is that the modification needs to be "permanent", though permanent isn't clearly defined.

The general consensus, from the many threads I have reviewed on this topic, is that either epoxying the floor plate in place after adding the spacer, or riveting through the spine to limit the follower, or adding a spacer and riveting the floor plate in place, or some combination of those, should be GTG.

If the mag could be simply disassembled by hand (no tools required) and easily converted back to standard capacity, then I think any DA could build a case that it's not permanent.

There are no test cases that I am aware of so caveat utilitor.

Go back and read the draft regulations that were withdrawn. The DOJ was requiring modified magazines to use BOTH epoxy and rivets. It was pointed out in numerous comment letters that thousands of existing modified 10 round magazines sold in California do not meet this requirement.
