Finding Ammo at Good Prices

How do you find ammo at good prices?
I usually use AmmoSeek, Gun-Deals, and Google... in that order.
Everyone seems to have different definition for "bulk," some say 1,000 rounds is bulk, others say 5,000+ rounds is bulk. The most amount of ammo I've ever bought in "bulk" was just over 1000 rounds.

What do you consider to be a good CPR (Cost per round) for the following and how many rounds do you buy at once to get the cost that low?

As a student, I'm limited on cash, so I'm trying to figure out my options for when the new ammo regulations take effect.
I'm trying to decide whether I should buy some ammo each month, or if I should save up and buy a large amount all at once to hopefully save more money.

I usually check wikiarms, slickguns/gun.deals, and Calguns "Deals, Sales and Coupons" before I buy ammo.
I just recently signed up with Activejunky.com, and I'm getting a little over $100 credited to my Paypal account in May. This seems like a legit way, I'll see in May, to get money back. I only get ~ 1 or 2 Emails/month from them and no random sales Emails.

The best ammo savings for me in the past year has been:

These, plus PSA has sales with free shipping often.
Unless if you are into hunting deep and super discounts like buying gift cards at a discount and signing up with AJ or other middle sources (I do not have the patience for that) These three have always ended up the lowest prices. Even when you search through ammo seek, they are hard to beat for head ache free ammo orders.

OP, to answer some of your other questions:

First, I would buy as much ammo of the cailber(s) you like to shoot the most this year. Your best answer is to say all of them, but that may not be practical now. You may want to consolidate your 357/38 and 223/556 purchases.

I think of "bulk" quantities as case quantities, and usually you can get better pricing buying case quantities.

As far as good CPR, overall, we are seeing the best CPR since ~ summer 2011. It might be best to buy a case, as you can afford it, each month for the next 6-7 months. If you see that you could have bought something for $5-$10 less, don't sweat it, and if you have the $$, buy it and move on.

Long term, it would be best to get into reloading, but since there aren't any laws against it now, it probably wouldn't be best to spend your limited resources on it now.

For the calibers you listed, I would buy ammo that you can't reload, 22LR, ammo that has a factory cost closest to reloading cost, for most it's 9mm, and for convenience, ammo that takes the longest to prep and reload, 223/556.

...The only regret I have with Activejunky is that I didn't go with it sooner. Unfortunately, Targetsports, SG Ammo and PSA aren't included in their discounts, and I have bought thousands of rounds from them. Some have put Activejunky down in threads, but that's OK, because we can buy the same ammo/reloading supplies at the same price, and for about an extra 30 seconds, I'll have a few extra bucks to spend on something else. To me, I would rather use AJ than cut out UPC codes from boxes of ammo and mail them in to get rebates... I do have my limits.
