How is this new law going to affect you ?
Me i will never give CA one dime to use this money to find new ways to screw shooters. Last year i started reducing the number of gun calibers i use. I will do my best to have enough ammo on hand to last me 10 years [ i am 70 ]. For what all the reloading equipment and supplies will cost me to reload 223 i can buy 1,000 rounds which at my current rate of use combined with what i already have is all i will need. This sure was more fun five years ago.
I already have on hand enough ammo to feed my other calibers. I feel bad for younger shooters on a tight budget. Paying fees to bureaucrats to find new ways to restrict our rights is what is happening in CA. I was born here in 1947

I am moving back the to USA. Wont affect me. Plus if I cant get out AS planned. Ive been stock piling.

I can't even begin to fathom how much it is going to cost. I'm already finding Ammo twice the price in store as I pay per round on line. When the only place you can buy is in store and there is a process attached to it. It's going to be ridiculous. Between this and the cost to register or make ARs featureless it sure feels like this is an undue burden.

They cant outright BAN guns, so they will price them out of reach to own.

The closure of Chabot & USI took care of my ammo "problem". Yet I still keep stocking up. Got to love Target Sports and their bulk pricing/free shipping.

No effect here. I reload just about everything I use. I have the stuff but do not now reload 5.7X28 but bought 7,000 rounds of new. I also bought a like amount of 9X18Mak so it will be awhile before needing to reload those also.
I have a supply of new 9mmLuger and 45ACP. I have 30,000+ rounds of 22RF that I got when it was still $9.97/500 or 550 round box. So I am good at least until my grand-daughter starts shooting.
If and when I need new ammo I will get it from another state or have my brother(Nev resident) get it for me.
I will not buy here after that goes into effect.

In any event, I got my FFL + COE. So nothing will change for me. I can buy ammo and have it shipped directly to my door. I don't know why y'all just don't do that...

For sure there will be some vendors who won't deal with FFL03/COE customers, but I'm confident that some others will.

Regardless, the smart money right now is to leave nothing to chance and stack deep while supplies are high and prices are low. (for both complete cartridges, and also components - for those who reload)

Everywhere I currently buy ammo from has confirmed they will continue to ship to CA. And because I have an FFL, they will ship directly to me.

Wrong. Midway says they will ship to anybody with an FFL, even an 03. There's already a thread about this. Called them myself to confirm. I don't buy from Midway anyway. Their prices suck. Why am I better off reloading? There are literally hundreds of places to buy ammo online. Not just Midway (even though they WILL ship to CA still).

The high volume shooters will have a problem, no matter how much you have now, if you do a lot of shooting like those 30,000 plus rds a year crowd, it's going to run out very quick.

we are all going to have to conserve / almost like they did during WW2, and have to limit how much we can use.

I'm 'investing' in ammo now. If I run low in 2018 I'll go to Yuma. It won't be price worthy buying it here.
