Advanced Warning Of California Attack By Al Quada?

I was browsing thru yahoo a little bit ago, and being as how we are fast approaching the anniversary of 9/11, This little tidbit caught my eye.

This in itself doesnt seem like much to worry about, some knucklehead american with a lost sense of perspective, decided to trade out his red-white-and blue soul for a rag on his head and martrydom in the land of allah. No big deal right? It happens. The part that bothers me is this. Ive done lots of reading on this al qaida and the philosophy of Islam. One of their "rules" is that before they attack a enemy, it is their responsiblilty to offer a chance of forgiveness or surrender to the enemy by allowing them to convert to islam. Now they are talking about attacking the West Coast, and this disturbs me. A native californian, converting to a radical wing of Islam, threatening to attack the west coast as we come upon the anniversary of the worst terrorist attack in our nations history. I have a bad feeling and the hairs on the back of my neck just cant seem to lay down when I read this, and Im just wondering if im not alone in this. Im not one to subscribe to the SHTF mindset, im a normal guy with a emergency preparedness plan in place if it so needs to be implemented. But somehow, this really gives me the creepy feelings of something in the air. Tell me what you guys think on this ok?

I don't know, but Al Queda's new tactic of telling Americans they should be more religious could very well backfire. U.S. liberals and the media could turn on them and start treating Al Queda with the same contempt that they show towards Bush.

For those of you who don't understand the ramifications of the newest video (9/2/06), Al Queda and Bin Ladin lost a bit of support in the Muslim world because based on Islam, you are supposed to get a chance to convert before they use the instrument of Jihad.
This latest video is the most explicit indication that Al-Queda is planning a major new attack. But this time Osama wants the Muslim world's support and his method to get that support is following the "letter of the law" and offering us infidels the opportunity to convert before he opens a can of jihad on us!

I work at the "biggest target in the Inland Empire" (where Riverside is) according to some and just Friday the security manager and I were walking the fence line checking out firing positions. He's set up some concrete K rails along the one fence line that wasn't already solid concrete filled mason bricks topped with wrought iron pickets. Him and I have used a laser range finder from our roof line to completely range out objects in a 360 degree circle around our place out to 800 yards. We have armed security guards, plenty of pretty well trained Army personnel, and me to protect the place!

Its nice to know im not the only one paying attention to this. Im not paranoid, but I can tell you that for the next few weeks, I think im going to take my personal awareness up a few notches. I live in Sacramento, and being as how its the state capital, this is a very likely target, as well as you folks down in LA. IMHO just pay more attention to whats going on folks, check emergency supplies, exfil routes, and make sure your 3B (beans, bandaids, bullets) is on the up and up.

I am an open minded person who will tolerate a lot of things, but these Jihad jockeys are really getting on my bad side. If something does happpen in California, I hope the hippies can shut up for a few months so we can take care of the problem once and for all. In my experience the lefties and the Dem-GOPs in this state live too posh of a life and don't understand the suffering that these jihadists bring, even their own people. I'm an infidel for sure. I also work near a prime target off Hwy 580 just west of the Altamont pass. If Al Quada does attack, I do wish the security people would turn on their new miniguns and send the terrorists to see Allah before any innocent people are hurt.

Maybe I missed something, but in the article I don't see any reference to the west coast, but to the "West", as in hemisphere.

Notice Osama doesn't send folks to knock on your door and try to kill you, he looks for a soft spot he can take advantage of to make the largest impact attack he can. I do not think that anything we have or carry would make a difference!

I agree with Satex. If the people in the towers had a firearms stash, would that have saved them? The terrorist arnt going to be riding up our street in technicals, they are going to do something that will effect a large number of people at the same time such as a suicide bomb or poison or airplains crashing into buildings.
