my bro in law bought a loaded operator for 1300.00 two years ago. In the military I got to shoot the old Colt rattler and it actually hurt but his loaded operator has a really light recoil. My 40XD kicks more that his loaded operator. Sweet pistol. I like but can't afford. Good luck.

With some searching you can find it for cheaper not 50 miles away, maybe you can use that angle on your wife. Maybe drive her up to South Coast mall and buy her something to grease the wheels.
