Look What Followed Me Home from The Range The Other Day.

The day after I found the Rem. 51 - well, actually it found me - I was talking to a guy at the range who told me that he had an old** 1911 at home. It belonged to his uncle who left it to him about 20 years ago. The uncle had gotten it with a battlefield commission at the Battle of the Bulge '44/'45.

Seems that nobody in his family wanted it - I offered to buy it and she now resides with my family! ;D

Sweet, I wish I could find one. A buddy of mine who works for the phone company found one in a ditch about a year ago. He had it run through the police and it came back clean so he got to keep it. He let me shoot it this weekend and it took me right back to my Navy days!
