[SOLVED] Ruger 10/22 Problem

I'm not sure why, but my Ruger 10/22 is incredibly difficult to charge sometimes. I try to pull back the charging handle and it just kinda sticks halfway. I have to let it go and pretty much try to keep charging it until it unsticks, but then it will stick again a minute later.

What's going on with this gun? It shouldn't be so difficult to get a round in the chamber.

I had forgotten to place one of the part that hangs freely in the trigger group back into the little slot at the front. Problem Solved.

It doesn't matter if it's cocked or not, it's difficult either way.

I've never taken the gun shooting while it had this issue, anytime I've gone shooting I made sure everything was working properly before going.

It's been reliable while shooting, but this has only happened me once before and never while shooting. Usually it's happens after cleaning.

Is it binding? If so, can it be solved with lube?

I don't have a solution, but i occasionally get the same problem. I normally take the bolt and charging handle out and put it back in. I think it just got stuck in a funky position.

How much have you shot it?

If it's been shot a lot then just clean and lube.

If it usually happens after cleaning, how are you cleaning it, what products are you using? It almost sounds like there is something that isn't going back together quite right.

Your description is lacking. I assume a stock trigger group. Look at the attached diagram and ident the part please.
