    ARMaglock 308 incompatible lower?

I have an Aero M5 lower for .308 & bought the ARMaglock for .308, which includes the spacer and extended bolt, but it is too wide with the spacer and not long enough without the spacer. Anyone else have this problem?

Thought about it but I only have fine 220 grit sandpaper, have to do it by hand, and probably need to shave off 3/4 off the spacer. I'll try out manually first. If I get tired, I'll borrow my friend's tools. Thanks.

UPDATE: I did shave the spacer by hand and it wasn't too bad as it took 45 minutes to shave half the spacer with 220 grit sandpaper and it works now.

Thanks jessdigs! If you didn't mention it, I wouldn't have attempted it.

The problem with AR308 receivers is that there is no standardized specifications, which causes incompatibility of parts depending on the manufacturers. This also causes problems with the new style magazine locking systems because there is no one size fits all solution and often times requires minor fitting to make them work properly.

Yeah, I just learned this after running into this issue. What kind of sucks is that I emailed ARMaglock and they didn't respond. Because they didn't respond, it resulted in this post for me to find answers and discuss with the experts, here on CG, on .308 builds.

ARMagLock runs a disclaimer for their ARMagLock for AR308 style firearms saying it "only fits about 50% of the firearms in the market. We can NOT guarantee our pin will fit your lower receiver!"

That could be the reason why they have not responded back to you.

The BB PMR also has a disclaimer for their product for AR308 style firearms stating that "Some fitting/modifications may be required for install."

Yes, I did read it, but I believe that was referring to the rear takedown pin and not the magazine button/catch.

                  Sorry for the tangent.
Glad you go it to work.
