    Question about posting for sale

I have a few guns im interested in selling and would like to get some feed back about pricing. I dont know if its bothersome to ask so please let me know if im posting in the wrong place.

I purchased these from someone to help them out... I really have no interest in keeping any.

    Taurus 38 special
    Benelli M3 Super 90
    Rugar Speed Six 357
    Glock 23
    Beretta Silver Pigeon over under
    SpringfieldM1

I really dont know what the value of these are and would rather someone here get a fair price instead of a gun store.

Please let me know your thoughts then I will post for sale in the correct place.

    Thanks

correction, you purchased to help yourself to a profit, else you would have helped them sell directly for fair price instead.

It depends on how fast you want to sell them. The lower the price, the faster the sale.

If you just wanted to get rid of them...

          Taurus 38 special = $300
          Benelli M3 Super 90 = $1000
          Rugar Speed Six 357 = $500
          Glock 23 = $400
Beretta Silver Pigeon over under = $1800
          Springfield M1 = $1100

I apologize for my negative assumption.

A great deed to that person would be giving most of the excess if you do make out with a profit. Best of luck.

The pricing listed above is pretty accurate, depending on conditions and functions.
Gunbroker is a good place for accurate pricing.

That is a Gen 2 G23, cool. The Benelli has the older (janky) rear sight. The Speed Six is nice!

Even if your assumption was correct, why would you post it?

Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.

Funny, I thought the same thing, wtf is wrong with people?

OP posted how he generously bought a bunch of guns from "some person to help them" and now seeks the hive advice on how much money he can sell them for.

                          That tells me many things.
                          1. He has no clue of the market value, therefore didn't pay market value when buying.
                          2. He offered the lowest price possible knowing he can't lose money. "Whatever that stuff is worth, I'll definitely make some cash!!!"
                          3. He doesn't care about the person and is taking advantage of a situation, but then wants to be the nice guy here and get advice on how much he can make.

So no, I don't believe the OP is a nice guy doing a good deed. I think it's BS so I called it out, then I sarcastically replied and gave benefit of the doubt, even though he's almost assuredly bull****ting.

Too cynical, too narrow. There's tons of scenarios. Happens all the time, loan someone the amount they need, take whatever crap they have as collateral. Or give what's needed but take less liquid asset in exchange for the immediate relief.

Helping another is as easy as helping yourself, you don't need to get something from it.

30 minutes on the internet and OP could have values for all of those items. 10 more minutes and he could show the guy how to sell directly, or arranged a deal to sell on his behalf.

No, I believe he saw a desperate person and an opportunity for himself, then pretends to be a good guy here. That doesn't sit well with me.

Edit: simply replying to Mitch about what's wrong with me, since he states I'm a dirt bag for questioning OP.
