I will be getting the same range finder myself. I've heard it's the "one" to have.

Actually field tests have shown the Swarovski to provide longer distant measurements than the Leica. On the other hand, the Leica works better for very small targets since you can pinpoint them on it.

Thanks for the info. - that's what I was wondering.

I was playing with it yesterday and noticed that on small stationary objects, out beyond 100 yds, or so, it's not as easy to hold it on the object as you miight first think. Have you ever used stix to maintain a steady field?

I just tried on this morning and it looks great. The smaller square sighting window is much more accurate than the big open crosshairs on my Bushnell. It's probably the next one I buy.

            Tomorrow We'll Know For Sure!

We're going to a BBQ shoot with about 40-50 guys up in the mountains and we'll know more about actual 'field trials!'

I think that's his pet coyote.

                It's, umm, "sleeping".

I don't have a Leica Rangemaster, but I do have a couple pairs of Leica binoculars... Here are my 12x50's... generally they're hard to steady for more than a few minutes at a time, so for extended viewing, I use a freestanding monopod, and it works great:
