    Mossberg warranty card

I picked up a cheap 22, model 72 yesterday from Dicks. After I checked it out, I got online to register for the warranty. They have no place on the site to do that so I looked through the paperwork and box that came with the gun and there was nothing. I wrote an email. Below is their response.

    Hi XXXX,

Thank you for your email. There is no need to register your Mossberg firearm with us for warranty purposes. Just hang on to your serial number and proof of purchase and your warranty is automatically valid. Thank you.

    Sincerely,

    Customer Service Team
    O.F. Mossberg & Sons, Inc.

You never have to register anything for the warranty to be valid per federal law.
Oppressors can tyrannize only when they achieve a standing army, an enslaved press, and a disarmed populace. -- James Madison

The Constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms. -- Samuel Adams, Debates and Proceedings in the Convention of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, 86-87 (Pearce and Hale, eds., Boston, 1850)

Can't say I have every receipt for every firearm that I've purchased.

I actually do have the receipt for every firearm I've ever purchased, in a file with other pertinent paperwork for each. There are a few reasons to keep that information besides the topic of this thread.

I'm not sure about the firearms industry but warranty registration cards are just the way for companies to get customers addresses in the past and maybe email nowadays.
